Laura Fernandez is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a particular interest in sports-related injuries, especially those arising from endurance disciplines such as running and triathlon.

In addition to her physiotherapy qualifications, Laura holds a postgraduate qualification in musculoskeletal sonography. This enables her to provide on-site diagnostic ultrasound imaging – a valuable and increasingly sought-after service which enhances clinical decision making and streamlines patient care. Laura also brings extensive experience in post-operative rehabilitation for both upper and lower limb surgery, having worked closely with orthopaedic teams in her previous roles. She is also a qualified acupuncturist, using Western medical acupuncture techniques to support the management of a variety of conditions including long-standing spinal symptoms affecting the back and neck. Laura’s approach to rehabilitation is comprehensive, drawing on her varied background and further qualifications in sports massage therapy and personal training to create individually tailored, performance-focused treatment plans.

Alongside her clinical work, Laura is a dedicated endurance athlete having completed multiple full-distance Ironman and 70.3 triathlons events, as well as numerous marathons and ultra-trail races. She is currently preparing for her first Hyrox event. Her personal sport experience gives her a deep understanding of the physical and psychological demands of training and recovery, and she brings this insight to her work with patients, from recreational exercisers to more competitive athletes.

Based in Aylesbury but also heading our Watford clinic, Laura combines clinical excellence with a deep understanding of athletic performance, helping patients return to full function and beyond

Andy is a highly experienced and specialised physiotherapist with over 14 years experience working in musculoskeletal medicine and sports injuries. He started his career working within the NHS for the Luton and Dunstable Foundation Trust. Combining his role in outpatients he gained valuable experience in acute respiratory wards and intensive care. Since qualifying, Andy has continued to develop his career gaining post graduate qualifications in acupuncture, pitch-side trauma, and MSK sonography.

Andy is one of the few physiotherapists in the U.K. who specialises in both physiotherapy and musculoskeletal sonography. His skills are invaluable in diagnosing and managing a range of musculoskeletal conditions including joint, tendon, muscle, and nerve related conditions.

A keen sportsman, Andy played rugby throughout school, university, and for Aylesbury 1st XV; ironically a series of injuries ultimately led to his retirement from the game. He remained involved with rugby working as physiotherapist for Aylesbury RFC and a representative rugby with Bucks County. Andy’s experience in pitch-side trauma has also come from match day pitch-side at Wycombe Wanderers FC for home and away games.

Andy has worked extensively with young athletes. He worked for five years with London SE Schools U16s, many of whom have gone on to full Premiership and International honours. His involvement with these young athletes has led to a specialist interest in adolescent growth injuries. Andy is regularly involved in school and clubs visits, where he often presents seminars, educates, and screens young athletes. In 2017, he also completed the ECB “Coaching Children” qualification with Dinton Cricket Club.

Outside of the clinic, Andy’s life revolves around driving the family taxi to his kids sporting and social commitments. He is also keen on exploring Zwift’s “great indoors” on his watt bike.
