Catrin Morris
Catrin graduated from King’s College London with a first class honours degree, and was awarded the Jacqueline Rolande Spicer Prize for Best Overall Academic Achievement.
Catrin then progressed into a role at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, gaining experience in musculoskeletal outpatients, as well as patients with neurological deficits and amputees. Working across a wide range of disciplines within the NHS, Catrin now has a breadth of knowledge to draw on when treating musculoskeletal injuries.
Her interest in rehabilitation stemmed from her involvement in rowing from a young age. Having competed for the West Midlands and won medals at National Championships, Catrin has an appreciation for the hard work and dedication required to perform at a high level, as well as the frustrations that a setback from an injury can bring.
Having recently returned from six months working in the French Alps, Catrin has further honed her love and interest in snow sports. She has always been a keen skier, and now has also tried her hand at snowboarding, monoskiing and ski touring.
Catrin’s time spent on the slopes has furthered her understanding and appreciation of the risks associated with snow sports. This has impressed on her the importance of injury prevention and rehabilitation, which she looks forward to having the opportunity to apply at Elite.
As Catrin is new to the area, she enjoys exploring the countryside on her road bike, and is also looking forward to getting back into netball.
